Shovels and the Scriptures – Episode 7
This episode–recorded on the campus of Benedictine College in northeast Kansas–introduces a short summer series on “the power of conversion,” and the idea of faith being birthed in one generation and being passed to the next (like what is celebrated in Psalm 145:4: “One generation commend[ing] God’s works to another”). In this introductory episode, we again return to Bridgett’s previous “digs” in Tunis (ancient Carthage), and discuss the “knock-on effects” of faith in Jesus being birthed in Tertullian, who was influential for other churchleaders in north Africa: Cyprian and Augustine.
